MC6

A launcher of Minecraft: Java Edition for iOS 6: the game's own files, downloaded from Mojang's servers, run unchanged by a Java VM ported to 32-bit iOS, with LWJGL 2 on OpenGL ES through gl4es. All 113 versions of the LWJGL 2 era from RubyDung to 1.12.2 start, make a new world and play on an iPad 2, and 231 of its 236 snapshots. MC6 ships nothing of Mojang's: you need to own the game.

• Java 8 HotSpot with the C1 JIT on armv7, the JDK's native libraries
• Every version from RubyDung and Classic through Alpha, Beta and 1.0 to 1.12.2, snapshots included; downloads checked against Mojang's SHA-1
• Touch controls and on-screen keys, a joystick as on Minecraft for phones, every version fills the screen
• OptiFine for 1.7.2 to 1.12.2: you download it from optifine.net inside the app, it starts at its fastest settings
• The launcher shows what plays and what is new in each version; the frame rate in the corner
• English and Czech

• You must own Minecraft: Java Edition; the game is downloaded from Mojang's servers
• The package is about 20 MB; an iPad 2 with 512 MB plays 1.8 to 1.12.2 at render distance 2
• Unofficial; not affiliated with Mojang or Microsoft

• Links that leave the OptiFine page and the Ko-fi link go through the browser chooser on iOS 6 (Safari or Surfari)
• The package is offered on iOS 6.x only (the 32-bit Java runtime cannot run on 64-bit devices)
