TikTak

A read-only TikTok viewer: a vertical, full-screen For You feed that tries videos from all of TikTok's topics and learns on the device what you like. Search, hashtags and sounds, captions, photo posts, LIVE, comments with replies, creator pages and saved videos. No login, no likes, no posting. It needs a small helper (yt-dlp) on your own server, because TikTok's app API is signed in a way iOS 6 cannot reproduce; the videos themselves stream straight from TikTok to the device.

• A For You feed that learns from watch time, saves and "Not interested" and keeps trying new topics; pick a few topics at the first start
• Search with suggestions, hashtag and sound pages, tappable #hashtags and @mentions
• Videos and photo posts with TikTok's captions, comments with replies, creator pages
• TikTok LIVE: the FLV stream is repacked on the device into HLS
• Save videos for yourself; "What it learned" shows the taste and can forget it
• Landscape iPad: the comments beside the video
• English and Czech

• Needs the helper service from the project's pi/ folder on your own server (Docker, yt-dlp); set its address in Settings
• Unofficial; it reads public content only and is not affiliated with TikTok or ByteDance

• Links in captions, comments, bios and hashtag pages are tappable; TikTok links open in TikTak, links to YouTube, Twitch and Kick in the sister apps when they are installed
• On iOS 6 other links offer Safari or Surfari; newer iOS opens Safari at once
• The iOS 6 package is offered on iOS 6.x only (64-bit devices with iOS 15 and newer use the arm64 package)
